PFR represents Maksu GmbH in FMA license procedure as a payment institution
We are proud to have successfully advised and represented Maksu GmbH and its entire team, led by Vlado Galevski, in obtaining their FMA license as a payment institution. A big thank you to the entire Maksu team, as well as to everyone else involved in the process, for their trust, dedication, and excellent collaboration throughout this project.
The “PSD2 license” represents an important milestone for Maksu and its continued growth in the payments sector. Maksu is only the eighth licensed payment institution in Austria, underscoring both the significance of this achievement and the high regulatory standards that apply in such licensing procedures.
It has been a pleasure to work with all parties involved over the past few months in a highly professional, constructive, and solution-oriented manner. At PFR, attorney Sanijel Ficulovic led the team. His dedicated, tireless efforts and his conscientious drive to advance the project were instrumental to its success.
Attorney Sanijel Ficulovic: “We are particularly proud to have successfully obtained the FMA license for Maksu. Projects of this magnitude not only entail stringent regulatory requirements, but also allow us to continuously learn alongside our clients and develop innovative solutions. I would like to thank the entire Maksu team for their great trust.”
Partner Bernd Fletzberger: "We are particularly pleased that we have successfully concluded yet another PSD2 licensing process. We are proud to say that we are the number one law firm for such procedures in Austria."
We look forward to supporting other innovative companies in the financial services sector, particularly Fintechs and payment service providers in licensing procedures, e.g. regarding stablecoin-related activities of crypto-asset service providers.
